GEC Offer A Full Range Of Geotechnical And Geoenvironmental Services Tailored To Your Needs
A Desk Study or Phase 1 Risk Assessment is usually the minimum requirement of any Planning Authority prior to the award of planning permission. It is generally expedient to carry out this work as early as possible in the evolution of the project as it will directly inform the scope of any further investigative work.
The principal aim of a Ground Investigation is to collect information about sub-surface conditions and collect representative samples of all materials encountered beneath a particular site. The scope of the ground investigation and the sampling strategy is dependant on a number of factors including: results of the Phase 1 Risk Assessment, nature of proposed development, and regional ground conditions.
